About Me

I am a senior engineer, writing Python professionally since 2010, and working on foundational infrastructure and tooling to support millions of engineers, data scientists, and ML researchers. I am also the maintainer of numerous open source libraries on PyPI, and an experienced speaker from Python conferences and meetups around the world.

I wrote the static site generator Nib that powers this site, as well the static link tree generator Plinky to manage my contact page.

I have a Bachelor of Science in Software Engineering from the Rochester Institute of Technology in Rochester, New York. I now live in the sunny San Francisco Bay Area, in California, with my wonderful partner Ember and an adorable cat named Zero.

In my free time, I’m an avid video game enthusiast, with a love for space, sci-fi settings, and indie games. Some of my all-time favorites include Mass Effect, Kerbal Space Program, Talos Principle, Hollow Knight and Tunic. I also enjoy semi-competitive endurance car racing and drifting, both at the local race tracks as well as in iRacing.
